My name is Vaidehi Tyagi and I am a high school student from Strawberry Crest High School, with a passion for finance and business. My love for business stems from my experience through Next Generation Technology 360, an entrepreneurship pitching competition for high school students in the Tampa Bay area. Through this program, me and my friends created our startup College Knowledge, and were able to receive $3,500 as an award as the 2nd place winners. While I was able to be a part of this program as a high schooler, I realized that there are limited opportunities for younger students to explore their passion with business. Even schools don’t teach students the basics of financial literacy that they need to succeed in life. That’s why I created The Youth Founders, a student-led nonprofit dedicated to teaching elementary and middle schoolers about business. Through this program, I hope to impact as many students as possible by helping them develop their love for economics, business, and entrepreneurship while simultaneously educating them on the value of having financial literacy from a young age.
